 Malta should try to find ways to self regulate tourism rather than let external forces run it. They could consider taxing foreign travel agencies while promoting their own travel agencies as well as promote their own airline etc. Malta could consider promoting more eco-friendly forms of transportation such as cycling to reduce traffic and pollution.   |  Malta could also invest in other forms of tourism to avoid seasonal unemployment. Instead of relying on the beaches and sun as their main attractions, Malta could promote alternative forms of tourism such as athletic tourism e.g. golf. They could also invest in building other year round attractions such as a theme park or promote cultural/ art festivals etc. Malta has already branched out into medical tourism and can also use its film industry to attract more people   |
